What USHIP is not telling you in their BLOG is that they let anyone on their web site and they do not check for DOT AUTHORITY, so if you think you are going to make money from their site think again. You will be bidding against someone without DOT AUTHORITY & INSURANCE so they will bid as low $.20 per mile for a car which I have seen, or a boat from coast to coast for $1000.00. Do a search for USHIP SCAMS and you will see all about the shippers that have been scammed out of Hundreds of thousands of dollars. Uship has a forum that they say is for their CARRIERS but if anyone posts how they been scammed our someone stole their shipment they delete it ASAP to cover up the truth, if you think I am fooling go to ww.stopillegaltrucking.com and you can read all about how USHIP OPERATES. They are a safe HAVEN FOR ILLEGAL TRUCKERS, they even have convicted FELONS on their site which they say they dont allow but do nothing about it because all they want is the money these felons make for them. STAY AWAY

In concert with the comment already left by another poster, I can also add that USHIP charges 12.9% for accepted bids that range from 0-$300 (a fee of $38.70). Then they tack on another $29 to that! They call it “a nominal service charge”. So you forfeit close to $70 per shipment to USHIP?
You take that and add that you’re competing with approx 99% of the Carriers listed on USHIP that do not have the commercial insurances nor the other credentials required by law. Thus the up to 80% savings as advertised by USHIP.
Legal Carriers are not permitted by site rules to inform and educate the Shippers. It will result in red flags and ultimate suspension from the site.
All negative postings made in the forums will be deleted immediately by USHIP. No educational information is permitted to be posted in the question and answer section of a shipment listing. No mention of UShip fees or similar language is permitted to be made to the Shipper. The rules are endless and work strictly on behalf of USHIP while simultaneously working against you as a carrier.
Save yourself time, money and aggravation. Avoid USHIP at all costs and inform others to do the same.
